About Us

The name Stockdale would have to be one of the best known names in the Victorian Baking industry.

The Stockdale family has been in the Baking industry since 1860 when Benjamin Stockdale opened a Bakery in Fitzroy and then moved to South Yarra.  After four generations of Bakers, Stan Stockdale left the Bakery in 1971. Stan and his son Colin bought Biwell Wholesalers Pty Ltd supplying Milk Bars and Private Nursing Homes.  In 1976 Stan and Colin started a company called IWG (Independent Wholesale Grocers) to predominately supply the Baker & Pastrycook trade. This business was sold in 1989.  In 1990 Colin started a small company called Timstock Trading House Pty Ltd, importing and distributing products to Baker & Pastrycook trade.  

Today we employ over 25 staff, our warehouse floor space covers over 2,000 square metres, we have a fleet of modern delivery vehicles and over one thousand satisfied customers.

We deliver to all of metropolitan Melbourne, and most of Country Victoria in our own fleet.  Customers outside our normal delivery area have their goods sent by a freight company. We also offer a pickup service, and many customers collect their own orders from our warehouse, conveniently located in Dingley.

Timstock not only supplies Bakeries and Patisseries, but also businesses like Butchers, Cafes and Restaurants, even Church groups and Social clubs are all supplied with Timstock’s superior goods at affordable prices.
